Hi,

I wanted to see if I can get some advice by posting here....I was an electrical engineer (control systems) before moving into finance after MBA (Top 2). Good at MATLAB (17 years and counting), python (1 year) and sql...Good code hacking capabilities...Derivatives trading, Index options, smart beta, machine learning, text processing etc..

Negatives : I am now in a Hedge fund of funds firm...work is not challenging at all..

I am trying to get out of it .. to be part of a hedge fund in quant space again...But I am having hard time in getting the interviews...Mabe partly because of NO PHD.

How do I re-position myself...any tips ?

based out of CT, USA...Looking in Boston, NYC, CT areas

EDIT : I had worked at Hedge Fund in Portfolio construction.. and Prop Trading, trading futures and options...

Your experience should be more than sufficient. Perhaps you need to emphasize any machine learning on your CV, linkedin profile, etc. Just a thought.
