Hi

Posting here after a long time. Due to fund closing down, I will be losing my job. I have worked as a quant throughout my career and due to promotions became a PM in a commodities fund. unfortunately, before i could get more experience as a PM, the fund is closing down. Not many commodity shops out here in north east. I am looking more into multi-asset space too but getting hard

Any suggestions on future career move ? Can code in Python and Matlab. Any remote work opportunities ?

Difficult times..
I noticed that couple of head-hunting agencies I was in contact 5+ years ago switched from banking to hunting engineers (industrial, construction etc.).

North-East like north-east america?

Don't know which commodities you were working on, but you could consider applying at one of the trading outlets of the "real world hedgers".

Ich kam hierher und sah dich und deine Leute lächeln, und sagte mir: Maggette, scheiss auf den small talk, lass lieber deine Fäuste sprechen...

Hi,

North east america...Yes, that is something (*commodity hedgers") I am considering too. At some places I am TOO experienced and firms are looking for younger less experienced ones.

(Big) Logistic/transportation companies are supposed to hedge fuel. Sea/air/road.
