Nonius, Oh Multifaceted One!  I have a few spots I could have showed you up this way.  They aren't pristine, but the people are nice (or up in Malibu, where the opposite is true).  -t.

I'm thinking of revisiting a secret spot somewhere in California that my childhood friend, Dave Parmenter, once showed me....he called it Mini V-Land....

dude, I just googled for images of moher...it DOES look like insanely large and dangerous surf.  I did read that Ireland has, full stop, the biggest waves in Europe.

Nonius, if you are into the big stuff, Madeira is the best spot in Europe.Personally I'm more of a mellow point break man.

I am off to S. America in 9 days. Im looking forward to 200 metre long lefts, then walking back up the beach and a ten yard paddle out to the peak, before relaxing with a cool beer at the inlaw's beach house.

Yes, there are still uncrowded, perfect waves in the world. During weekdays anyway Smiley

so when are we going to have the NP long island open? sure, the waves will probably suck, but it'll be cold...

Never surfed the Pacific, but the Atlantic is cool enough.

Here's Nazaré Beach (Portugal) in the winter:

Not quite Waimea Beach, but better than f*cking Cornwall, Ireland or Scotland...

Here's a jolly good movie: The Forgotten Coast. A bunch of Californian dudes go to Indonesia to surf the world's last untouched waves. The movie should have been named The Endless Summer 3 Wink The trailers are pretty cool.

First big waves of the season hit Nazaré's Praia do Norte (25 October 2016)
