FDAX, if that girl entertains you, have a look at her comments on bad amazon reviews (of her book). Flat out emberassing.

edit: too bad. I just recognized she deleted most of her comments.

She deletes them then she adds new ones. She can't help herself.

I liked this review most:

Be careful what you write for your review

I'm told the author is also known to call people's work places and complain if you don't think highly of her work.

The linkedin thread over in the algorithmic trading group had some rather touchy stuff but I think it got pruned, not sure.

"@Maggette: Sorry, no positive proof so far. Would you mind giving it a try ?"

You mean I should write a really aggressive review and offer some contact details in it?

Would love to, but I doubt this would make any sense since I am probably one of the ten people on this board that actually know less about HFT than Misses

I don't think anyone would see the difference Wink. Just drop a big pile of BS and see what happens, eg if you are followed by people in trench coats and someone is shadowing you car.

Ok. Saturday evening calls for a beer and some fun. So let me post one of the best comments I found on Amazon:

Irene says:

A review on the basis of one early chapter (someone sent me this very review in response to the one chapter I circulated in April 2009 -- way before the book was published)! This is the new competitive methods that selected academic programs teach their faculty nowadays -- a bit of a disgrace for the programs?!

Really? I thought the "academic programs" were busy teaching their students... No wonder the quality of education in the US is taking a hit.

Irene, I would rather say "these are the new competitive methods ..." instead of "this is .....".

Anyway, another guy/gal responded by saying:

I trust Dale's judgement more than I trust someone who just deleted two of her own comments. You can't bully people into taking you seriously.

Great comment dude.....

Edit: missing sentence.

Funny thread. I just took a look at her twitter account.

My book, "High-Frequency Trading", is being translated into Chinese due to its popularity. Ready in 2011! (6:38 AM Jul 13th)

In practice, this works, but how about in theory?

It suddenly occurs to me that Irene may be part of an American disinformation program aimed at maintaining America's one area of economic advantage over the Chinese. The spooks used to do this to the Soviets all the time; feed them defective technology.

That's kind of a "double punch power move", isn't it? You feed them defective technology AND let em pay for it (in form of books). That's ultra effective.Evil Smile

Whenever I'm having a hard time in life, I contemplate Irene Aldridge, who is evidence that anyone can succeed in America if they try hard enough:
Her latest book, on "quantitative investing," no kidding.
