Hey everyone,

If you're like me, you probably were watching the Harvard Trading Tourney this year. I honestly thought Xi of Carnegia Mellon would take the prize, but it appears she was too dependent on her volatility model and had less of a focus on execution. The way Bradford won really surprised me, I had never understood how traders made relative value and volatility arbitrage trades. It was the first time I've ever seen live-action pricing before, and it was especially amazing that he built his own pricing platform for the competition. If you remember in the introduction he said he had been starting to sell it to small funds and had a retail base already.

Overall, not too bad for the first event. The investing trend of 20-21 really brought in a bunch of new talent and it has been interesting to see how some of the greatest minds of the young generation are approaching these problems. What did you think of the event? Did anyone stand out? Link for those who missed it.
